CATTERY FINISHED - WE ARE OPEN !!

We are delighted to say we are open. After purchasing The Holdings in 2011, lots of hard work, fundraising and patience, our 19 rescued cats were transferred from the private cattery we've been using for 6 years into their new cattery, which they all love.

Our sincere thanks go to the Lilian Andrews Charitable Trust and Support Adoption For Pets, whose generous grants have enabled us to provide a wonderful cattery, which we feel our cats so deserve, while they are waiting for their forever homes.

Quite an historic event as it's the first time in the 105 year existence (established in 1911) of the local RSPCA branch that we have opened our own rehoming centre.

We are opening with just cats, but will expand to dogs and rabbits as soon as we have raised sufficient funds to build the next phases. So we still have a long way to go until the centre is fully completed, but very happy to be opening.

Each cat pen has its own thermostat so that if its not warm enough the heater comes on and if it's too warm, the fan comes on automatically. They have a little shelf with carpet above their sleeping area, where they can sit and keep an eye on what's happening around the site.

We are open to the public from 11am to 4pm every day, except Wednesdays, at

We now need the public's help to continue on with the second phase to build the reception building which will house the vets room, dog shower room, kitchen and 20 dog kennels.

Our branch is self financing and we rely heavily on public support, without your help and support this project will for longer than we would wish.

For anyone wishing to be part of this desperately needed centre and help with Phase Two, please send a cheque made out to "RSPCA Worcester Branch" and send to the above address or donate via the website.

There is a "Buy A Brick" appeal, where people can buy bricks for themselves or in memory of a beloved family member or pet.  It is just 3 a brick and can be purchased by cheque, via the website or by texting BRIC24 3/6/9 etc to 70070 to donate, for example BRIC24 9.

We confirm that 100% of your donation will go entirely to the building work. Our branch is run by volunteers who give their time freely for animals in need in the Worcestershire area. If you can help in anyway, please ring Geraldine, Branch Trustee on 01886 822083.

VOLUNTEERS & SPONSORSHIP

We would welcome volunteers to help with socialising and grooming the cats for whatever time you can give..

It is so rewarding to help the cats who have been abused, neglected, abandoned or just unwanted.

Also, we would be delighted to hear from you if you could sponsor a cat pen at 5 a month. This will help our branch to continue taking in rescued felines most in need from the Worcestershire area.
