Re-home an Animal

We are always looking for people that are willing and able to re-home an animal, whether that is a dog, cat or one of our other small animals. The first thing to consider before seeing our animals is that the needs of animals can vary enormously and it is imperative that you fully understand this before you attempt to take an animal on.

Once you have decided on the type of animal that you could offer a good home to, the next step would be to contact one of the re-homing coordinators. Before releasing an animal to any new owner we have a responsibility to ensure that the new owner will be capable of offering the animal a good home. Animals come into our care for a number of reasons. This may be due either to abuse, neglect or possibly because the previous owner became incapable of looking after the animal. It is for this reason that any new owner's home is visited before we release the animal to them.

It should be noted that there will be a small fee for adopting an animal. In addition to veterinary treatment all cats and dogs are neutered, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped prior to re-homing.

 WILLOW

Willow is a young tabby girl that is looking for a rural, outdoor home. She would suit life on a farm or livery yard where she can have all the space she desires and can come and go as she pleases. She may suit a large, spacious home with very experienced owners that have a strong understanding of cat behaviour. Willow is one of those cats that cannot quite make up her mind on whether she is comfortable with people or not, as such she can be a little bit temperamental when being fussed and handled. She deserves a special home with special people, so if you are that person or family, please do get in touch!

LOUIE

Louis is a handsome boy, or at least he will be when his fur grows back and he puts on some much needed weight. His face is very striking and he quickly steals your heart. Louis has had a very rough time recently and this was reflected in him not taking too kindly to strangers in small spaces. Over the last week or so Louis has started to show his true nature, his softer side. He now has access to more space and we have given him a reliable routine. We let him choose whether he wants to interact with us or not and have put the ball firmly in his court. This has worked wonders with our special boy. Louis is tentative and thoughtful, he tip toes around you and contemplates every interaction. There is no malice in this little man, just fear and as he grows in confidence and begins to trust us, he is showing that really he is a big softie. Louis may always be a bit wary of new people or sudden movements, but kind, patient and understanding owners will really be getting a wonderful companion with this handsome chap.

BAGHEERA

Bagheera is a striking young boy that is very handsome and very big. We think he may be a mixture of some fancy breeds under that semi long hair, especially with his bob tail. He is black all over with a white spot on his chest and deep green eyes. He is very new to the centre, as such we are still getting to know him however he has proven himself to have quite an interesting personality. He is going to be looking for a very special, indoor home - especially as he has severe allergies to practically everything! We have the medical report with all of the details at the centre, so we can provide lots of information on this. He cannot live with children, and will most likely need to be an only pet however over the next few days we will be able to see a little bit more about his personality.

DEREK

Derek is a stunning boy with lots of potential. Derek has been living as a stray for some time and so struggles to trust people although with patience the feeder of Derek was able to create a nice relationship with him before bringing him to us.

Derek is looking for a calm, understanding home with lots of outdoor access

Derek is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with his flea and worm treatment. For more information, please contact the centre on 07484 905 707

GERRY

Gerry is a young cat, he is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He just needs that all important loving home. Gerry is a loving and affectionate boy.

GRAHAM

Graham is a very sweet boy, who was taken in as a stray when he was slim and a bit beat up. Unfortunately, due to his rough start, he really dislikes cats and so his rescuer was unable to keep him.

Graham has a ton of potential, but is a little shy and still learning how to trust people. We are looking for a quiet home who have the time to dedicate all the love this sweet boy has missed out on

Graham is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with his flea and worm treatments.

For more information, please contact the centre on 07484 905707

ZULU

Zulu is a 5 year old male that has been through the wars a little bit but has come out the other side with a lovely character. He enjoys company and human contact however can be a little bit wary at first, but this is most likely due to the cattery environment making him feel a bit on edge. He does have FIV therefore will need to be rehomed as an indoor cat, however we think he will be fine with this if given the opportunity to play and have lots of attention. He would suit a family with people around to spend time with him. Don't be put off by his scars, this boy really is wonderful chap!

OLIVIA

Olivia is a sweet girl that has been well loved and cared for, however due to a change in circumstances she found herself looking for a new home. Olivia has lived with other cats and does seem interested in them here, however she has been bullied by cats in the past so we would only consider rehoming her with cats known to be sociable and easy going. She may be able to live with a dog and possibly children, however she is finding the change in environment a little bit overwhelming so is a little bit shy at the moment.

PICKLES

Pickles is a very sweet boy that has spent a lot of his time on the streets, which has led to his ragamuffin appearance. We think he is quite charming beneath his scruffy attire and think he will make someone a wonderful pet. He will be looking for an indoor home or somewhere with a cat proof garden due to him being FIV positive. Pickles is in need of a lot of love and compassion, so if you are looking to help a sweet soul recover from a tough start to life then please do get in touch about Pickles.

WALLACE

Wallace is a new boy that is a wonderful golden oldie at 15 years of age. We are still getting to know him as he has only just entered our cattery, but from what we do know he has spent the majority of his life living outdoors and was born on a farm. He is friendly though so we think he may take to home life quite nicely, especially now he is in his senior years.

Vienna

This poor boy.

Dolly

Dolly is a very sweet, older lady that will be looking for a nice relaxing retirement home. She is not yet available due to her currently nursing a small litter of kittens. She will need to be the only pet in the home, however could possibly live with older children.

Our animals are moving in and out of our care on a daily basis. As such, the featured animals on these pages do not necessarily represent the full extent of all animals in our care.

We currently have a lot more cats in care with us who need a loving home so please call us if you have a home to offer.

We update this website on a weekly basis. However, some of the featured animals may already be reserved.
